Object Description
Bronze fibula of Early Roman character. Massive bow is highly arched, and ends in a large lunate plate that rests on the crossbow spring and grasps it's core. The catchplate is exaggerated in length, and the foot ends abruptly in a flat ornament. Found with a similar object (40-77-40/12577). 5 x 2.7 x 2.4 cm.
