Object Description Uruk Red-Slipped Ware - red-slipped globular jar. Exterior, red wash with slight traces of burnishing before firing. Strip of clay applied around shoulder for ridge with vertical indentations made by pressing with flat ended tool. Core, fine compact laminated paste with some flat air spaces, tiny chaff inclusions (1-2 mm). Buff color. Interior buff, matt, finger marks, hand-made. Body sherd, shoulder piece. Th. 8 mm.
