Object Description Textile composed of two fragments of same textile seamed together along two weft selvages. Horizontal bands of slit tapestry punctuated by weft-faced plainweave stripes: 7 bands of feline-like faces with bowtie shapes under chins; wider band of interlocking wide-mouth faces with antenna-like ears; tab fringe of frontal anthropomorphic block figures with arms outstretched and duckfooted. Warps shift alignment in tab area: 2 warps cross over 2 contiguous warps. Two warp, three weft selvages. Warp: natural cotton, paired. Weft: gold, blue, green, red, pink, brown/black, yellow camelid.
