Object Description
Gesso tugi: used for clearing unfarmed land of trees and bushes prior to plowing and sowing; communal work, but each man has own tugi; valued tool because of quantity of metal in curved headpiece. Metal piece alone called tugi; wooden handle easily obtained from wooded areas 34"l. Like all metal, blade obtained from specialized metalworking craftsmen group (hereditary status; endogamous group) Metal obtained by trade.
