Object Description Chief's ceremonial headdress representing eagle. the carving represents the owl and orca. Polychromed maple frontlet with abalone shell inlays surrounding the central figure. Attached to frontlet is a wicker crown, lined with calico and faced with red flannel and black cloth. Train of ermine tails, fastened to wooden dowels that are sewn to a backing of plain white cloth, extends from rear base. Sea lion whiskers are lashed by means of cotton thread to crown's rim. Frontlet - 7.5 cm h, crown 76.5 circum. Including train 95 cm l. Wooshkeetan Thunderbird holding a whale.
