Object Description
Deity effigy, "Jagannath", the paramount deity of the Jagannath triad-3 deities of Puri. Rectangular shaped statue, flat back-painted black. Molded front with a black painted mask of exaggerated human features. long "V" ornament extends from sides of face to length of bell shaped body. Black human like feet rest on a platform. Pigment is peeling off of front.
