Object Description
Small curved dagger. Balkan Turkish, bought at Kossovo, Yugoslavia in 1932. Blade engraved on both sides in Turkish script. Tip bent. Scabbard is brass over wood, with hammered design on one side and split on edge. Handle is composite, brass + horn with small inlays of red and blue. Dagger in scabbard 28 cm long; scabbard measurements 17.8 cm l x 5.4 cm w x 1.6 cm d; other measurements in record are for dagger.
