Object Description
Clay animal figurine, possibly a deer.; Exceedingly well and spiritedly modelled, neck represented as turned; head looking well back as in anger; for leg broken.; Small, spirited figurine of guanoco or North American variety of ouchinia; head horizontal, ears erect and carried back; neck long, tail pointed, horizontal and planted below rump; body slightly sloping and tapering, nostrils represented above and far back of tip of nose; legs large, cylindrical and well spread, not only with design to support figuring, but also, probably, in representation of the young of the animal.
