Object Description
Inscribed bone or ivory gladiator's token; a rectangular bar, square cross-section, perforated at top for hanging or attachment. Inscribed on all fours sides: "MAXIMVS . / SP.V.B.OCT. / L. FLAVIUS. / L. CALVEI. ". Believed to be a "discharge token" for a gladiator who had survived combat long enough to retire.
