Object Description
Stone Effigy Metate. Tetrapod effigy grinding stone. Rectangular basin. Exterior surface covered with geometric patterns. Prominent head extends from front. Shape of head is inconsistent with most Jaguar metates (from perspective of catalog photo). This may represent a different animal. Small round hole in rear of basin, near tail.
