Inventory Description
Black ceramic vessel with ovoid body and flat base, bottom half of vessel is undecorated and separated from top half by a molded band that passes around the entire vessel, top half of vessel body is decorated with a stamped dot design, animal effigy straddles top of vessel with vessel neck protruding from where animal's back should be, effigy consists of head, legs, and tail of horse (?), legs of animal are bent at joints, tail is in the shape of a small rounded lug handle, features of effigy head are molded and incised, effigy is wearing a bridle, effigy lacks torso, vessel has a flaring neck, no rim, flattened strap handle attaches to the side of the vessel neck and the body of the vessel above the tail of the effigy, vessel neck is surrounded at base by an applied, unadorned band, vessel neck is decorated with vertical black stripes
