Object Description
Sacred corn of Abnaki. Ear of "sacred" corn. The kernels of the ear are covered with individual husks, know as "pod corn". This ear of corn was found in box with 4 additional ears of corn (62574, C/3974(2), 87647). Catalog number is written directly on body of corn, near the base to the ear. (Bought of E. Tahamont, Abnaki; Fund Huntington Frothingham, Wolcott Fund).
