Object Description
Mantle, brocade and tap. a) c. 71 cm x 71 cm. b). c. 137 x 51 cm. 2 pieces of a large textile composed of strips c. 25 cm wide of 1-1 pw, alternate br & tan cotton (warps and wefts). Strips have large-scale vertical zig-zag, woven with supp. wefts of R & Y alpaca with feline faces and interlocking frets. Across the end of the cloth is a slit tap. border with a row of Y birds on R and pink ground, flanked by blk & Y wave bands. At the bottom is a yellow tab fringe (wefts all yellow)
