Object Description Historic photographs mounted on heavy cardboard, some on both sides of the boards. The photos include turn-of-the-century New Zealand landscapes by Burton Bros, Dunedin; Drum Castle, Aberdeenshire, Scotland; views of Colombo, Monghyr, Serownie, Shapore, Hatee, Kandy, Kelaniya Valley and Soorajporah, Ceylon, including indigo production (sowing indigo, factory, workers, etc.), stacking ghats, temples, carpenters at work, factory buildings, "coolies", and "Charlie's" tennis party, tandem, horses, boats, polo club, dogs and parade meet, 1880's - 1890's.
