Object Description Written on board: "Tennessee. / Coll. by W. P. Hale, 1880. It was 2 1/2 ft down from present surface in a small mound considerably worn down by cultivation on Mr. R. W. Friend's farm at Pecan Point, Tenn near the river. It was already crushed by a large root of a tree grown through it. With it were some human bones a bone awl, & several bone & shell charms." -Pecan Pt. is in Arkansas. S. William, 1981
