Object Description Written on board: "Quatsino Indians. (Wakashan) / A new chief and his house. At Waltese village - Vancouver Is. Indian Ne-mo-que-las gave away 1000 pairs of blankets and became chief. Hired Indian Ya-co-plete, the village artist, to paint his house, paying 50 blankets for the job. Four colors used. / Quatsino Indian, Koskimo dialect, Wakashan stock. / In exchange, Museum of University of Penn. Oct. 1912."
