Written on board: "California, Santa Barbara Island / Old Village Site / Photos of prehistoric soapstone quarry on Santa Barabara Is. Photos by Dr. H. Kennedy of my party on March 1904. Discovered by Schumacher in 1877. F.W.P. Accounts of this in Peabody Museum Reports and in Wheeler Survey Report."
