Object Description Written on board: "Thompson Indians (Salishan) / Sweathouse covered with blankets, showing common Thompson style also stones being heated on fire. Near / Spences Bridge 1912. / Collector J. A. Teit - 1912 - 13 - 14."; From Tepper, 1987: "Sweathouse / J.A. Teit 1912 / 'Common Thompson style' of dome shaped sweathouse covered with three / overlapping blankets weighted at base by circle of stones. Stones / being heated on fire and a pail set near entrance. 'This is my / sweathouse built up Telegraph Creek to show Indians there the Salish / style.'"
