Object Description
Written on board: "Delaware. / Showing the position of pile structures in 1870 on the edge of flats at mouth of Naaman's Creek, Delaware. When this photo was taken several feet of mud had been excavated awat by Mr. John Downes some months previous. The flats are now shown covered by the spring growth of water grass and spatter docks."
Special care to be taken of this print as the plate of negative is infused and no more can be reproduced from it. They have been worked for some years & are practically exhausted. (1888 - work terminated Sept. 15, 1888)
