Object Description Written on board: "Algonquian. / Wahpayo, 1905. 40 miles up Assiwaban River. Assiwaban means stay and wait or stop and wait, from a deer pass near the butt of land where it bends. Camp and wait for the migrations. Nascapee Indians. Gift of W. B. Cabot, Marlboro St. Boston 1919."
