Object Description Written on board: Mexico / Mexican Serape / (photo verso) Mexican Serape - Warp is 2/Ply white cotton. Filling is always wool. Colors- General ground work is white small spots on ground work are red with sage green alternating every fourth line. Border is red with zig zag figures in sage green. On each end in the border a narrow stripe of sage green. Spear shaped figures around the border extending into the ground are red. Center Diamond figure is red figured in white, sage green and black. Size- 92" long - 50" wide. / Said to be 150 years old. I would like to know if it may be so old and if the style of the center figure indicates which state in Mexico it probably was made in. etc. etc.
