Written on board: [on card in photo] Bordado de plumas para cubrir la rodela de un Cacique de los indigenas en la América Española [translation: feather embroidery to cover the shield of a Cacique of the indigenous in Spanish America.] / (verso) 11160 / This negative (11160) was destroyed in the Spring of 1967 because it had deteriorated - Acc No: 33-64 / Feather disc - diameter 31 1/2 inches / "Spanish America" / Photograph collected in Spain by Dr. S. K. Lothrop and given to the museum. / This is in Museo Arqueologico, Madrid / Taken by photographer in Museo, print made by F. P. Orchard, 1934.
