Object Description
Written on board: "Italy / Fountain of the 16th century / Of Porta Santa marble. Its beautiful form is an undulating circle. Its diameter 2 metres and / 30 centimetres (2 yards and a half). Its height 95 centimetres (-1 yard) without base. / Very easy to transport, because composed of 8 pieces, besides the base which is of Carystium / or Cipollino marble, and all its weight is about three tons. / Visible every day at the Columbian Museum in Chicago, Ill. / Price $6000- / (See over)"; (Object description continued under remarks)
