Object Description
Written on board: Fiji / Viti-Levu Is., near Suva / 4 / Gift of Mr. A.G. Mayer, For description see over. Written on reverse of board: 12 / 4- Tapa or "Masi" tree (Broussonetia papyrifera) in a / native garden near Suva. The lateral branches / have been plucked off so that the main stem / grows straight upward. The tree is full / grown and is about five feet in height. The / tapa is made from its inner bark.
