Object Description
Pipe tomahawk. Head cast from one piece. Oval shaped "eye", stamped. Tomahawk has narrow waist becoming wider at blade end. Notches on blade. Barrel shaped bowl w/ a little incised decoration. Hafted into wooden handle. Handle decorated w/ brass tacks. Hole through bottom of handle w/ portion of leather thong. 54.4x19.8 cm. Handle no longer serves as pipe stem (later replacement), not functional for smoking.
