Object Description
Written on board: "New Hebrides / Malo Island / Melanesia / Native woman and children. The girdle and / necklaces are made of shell money. Pieces / of certain kinds of shells are ground to / discs about 1/4 inches in diameter and 1.12" in / thickness. They are perforated in the center and strung on small cords of pandanus / fiber. / Malo Isl."
