Object Description
Teton Sioux scalp w/ ornament. Long black hair. Leather thong loop at top strung w/ red glass trade beads and a round mirror in the center. Attached to skin of scalp is triangular piece of leather covered w/ glass seed beads. 2 quilled tassles w/ tinklers at end. 94.9x11.2 cm.
Organic material at the base of hair. Visual inspection suggests a piece of hide with horse hair (hide and hair are in one piece).
