Correspondence, photographs, drawings and newspaper clippings pertaining to artifacts from Newberry, Michigan. Includes four clippings, two photos, 1 drawing of characters on slab, one blueprint of same and three letters. Correspondence suggests that Emmet H. Scott of LaPorte, Indiana, brought matter to Harlan I. Smith's attention, who then raised it with F. W. Putnam. Figures and slab appear to be fakes.
