Object Description
Solomon Islands slides, photographs, and negatives (primarily slides from Malaita in 1968). Subjects from Malaita in 1968 include: "Native gatherings"; medical conditions such as skin lesions, hernia, enlarged spleen; ecology; genetic conditions such as hyperextension, "thumbs"; physical characteristics; "Anthropologists and doctors at work and play." Other images are somatotypes, ethnographic, or depict dental conditions. Some are labelled "Baigu." The box is labelled "Ontong Java 1972." The following names appear on labels: Daniel Hrdy, Jonathan Friedlaender, and Albert Damon.
