Elk antler bow
Descriptions
Object Description
Elk antler bow, unstrung, curved and tapering at both ends. The thick sinew backing appears to be a single, large piece, probably from a bison; the hide glue used to adhere it to the bow may be decorated with a glittering material such as mica. The face of the bow is scored or notched underneath the sinew.
