Written in pencil on board (verso): "L.K. Marshall / A /Gikwe woman, (Twikwe), with tsama melon / seeds. The seeds are saved and roasted / in ashes. The ashes are sifted out by / shaking on these grass mats. The roasted / seeds are pounded into a meal and / eaten."
