Object Description Windpipes; bamboo, six different lengths of pipe lashed together "used to ward off any tambura which is an evil spirit. Blown while walking through village at nightime, to assure oneself that spirit knows he is around, and that he is protected. Sound imitates the wind blowing through the grass, to keep the tamburin away."
