Object Description
Textile of open plainweave brown cotton, decorated w/supplementary weft patterning at one side. Design: lozenges containing standing birds w/alternating rows facing left, then right, colors alternating positive/negative. At lower edge, border (12 cm.) of weft-faced weave on paired warps. Center stripe discontinuous wefts worked in complementary pairs creates repeated design of double-headed birds. Cloth: 2-faced w/color reversal. Along 1 weft selvage, large whip stitch reinforcement(?). Warp: brown cotton. Weft; brown cotton, red, green, blue, brown, dark brown, red-brown, white camelid.
