Object Description Balance beam net; square knotted net of two-ply apocynno? fiber (z-2s; mesh: 0.4 cm.). Piece widest at center, tapering toward sides, ending in single cord. Along each edge a three-strand braid of red and gold camelid. Design: 1 row of brown fiber alternates with rows a shade darker. Lighter is final "s" and darker is final "z". Technique: plain knotted netting. At edge of three-strand braid, one braid passes through edge of netting to join it at intervals. Cord at pension? end cotton; where nets join, beam covered by needleknitting."
