Object Description
Tunic of 1-1 plainweave tan cotton (warp: s; weft: z). Across bottom, complementary weft float border. Diagonal rows of birds woven in red, yellow, pink camelid, white and brown cotton. Wefts substituted. Separately woven coton weft fringe stitched to bottom edge. Two fabric widths folded in half and seamed together. Neck slit has been sewn shut with coarse stitching. Side seam unsewn, perhaps intentionally. It appears tunic was converted to another use, perhaps as burial wrapping/offering. Two warp, eight weft selvages.
