Object Description
Headband; central section of slit tapestry with repeated geometric design in red, green, blue-green, gold camelid (all 2s-plied) on brown cotton warps (4-replied-z). At one end, warps are combined into successively larger groups (only four effective warps at end) bringing band to rounded point. Weft stripe patterning in the grouped warp section. Camelid yarns inserted through warp loops at point, plaited into flat briad (1.5 cm., width) of alternating black and white. This tie ends in tassel.
