Object Description Small textile of 2 ply cotton. technique: triple cloth variant (?); dark brown plain weave. Design: diagonal rows of interlocking bird notif, shadow design on reverse side: Textile portion of loosely woven plainweave dark brown cotton (z-2s, 11 warp/cm.; 6 weft/cm.) with design of interlocking birds, zigzags done with second, more loosely woven plainweave layer on top of brown. This second set of warps composed of 3 sets: white, ochre, gray cotton (z-2s) which are substituted on surface, woven in warp-faced plainweave on back. At one end (12 cm., width), are ??? very loosely woven, 5 weft/cm; design probably not completed. Four selvages.
