Object Description
Kuba ornamental shade or visor fabricated from 19 rigid, 1/2 -round teeth of split plant fiber, possibly palm or reed. The shade is rectangular. The main body and face of the shade is a geometric design pattern interwoven over the teeth with dyed leaf fiber which is plied/twisted. The flat surface of the teeth on this side are further decorated with incised zig-zag pattern, except for five that are not incised.
