Object Description Ipele - woman's comb. Large comb carved from a single piece of dark, dense hardwood, comprising nine teeth extending from the handle. The handle has a rectangular base with concave sides terminating in carved scroll-work at the top. Incised decoration is made up of feather-like hatching, pyrimidal motif and curvilinear lines. The PM# is in white ink on the top of one side - also written on the side of the handle, now faded.
