Object Description
Pair sandals ("imerkeden"), flat, leather with stitched design, almost rectangular in shape. Never made by professional craftsmen but are manufactured in Tuareg camps by vassal women who use the large awl for sewing sandals, made from several layers of tanned skin of sheep and goats, or oxen, sewn together with leather thread.
