Object Description
"Hopi maidens," Eight girls, dressed ceremonially and carrying basketry trays. Painted photograph. The image has been brightly watercolored, and has the number 47 in the lower right-hand corner. In pencil on the back of the photo, "Hopi maidens with their hair in whorls or squash blossoms, holding their sacred mealtray in preparation of going into their ceremonial or basket dance."
