Object Description
Man's short pants; part of outfit with jacket 986-5-20/26184a; both of natural black wool; no warp, weft or brocade patterns; garment is made of ten pieces; chainstitch embroidery in symbolic pattern of "Grandfather Sun" in purple, blue, salmon and green; embroidery done on cloth panels that are sewn onto the pants on only two sides, hence they are semi-swinging; no embroidery on the front; pants are for an older man; piece of waistband seems to be a repair, may've been re-sewn after torn off; small holes, insect damage; ceremonial use
