Object Description
Shawl (rebozo); White ground; two red warp bands at edges; purple warp float; four weft bands of red; weft-wise raised threads running the whole width of the cloth; brocade is single-sided onlay in shiny thread of gold, purple and silver-green; motifs are either simply symbolic or zoomorphic (bird-like) or floral; at the ends the brocade is very complex, consisting of mainly geometric patterns; fringes are very complicated hitched and knotted versions with colored shiny threads attached; badly stained (dye stain?), worn; hole
