Woman's fringed sash (faja); black and white warp stripes; black weft; violet brocade covers approximately two-fifths of length at one end of sash and 5.5 cm. at the other end; embroidery and chainstitch embroidery floral design in gold, yellow, green, purple and white runs length of longer brocade; shorter brocade is unadorned; fringe at longer brocaded end is violet, white and black; fringe at shorter brocaded end has been discolored by the violet, as has the white warp
