Descriptions
Object Description
Length of cloth; 1 dimension; white ground, no warp or weft lines; woven in gauze style; brocade is onlay; free-standing human, animal and geometric figures in red. This piece is very long, but the variety of motives is very limited. The human figure stripes are all exactly the same. The animal form is a rabbit, and that is the only form. The stripe pattern of the brocade is repetitive and consistent. The human figures are females holding hands and the rabbits form pairs of opposed to each other. The geometric figures are in box form and come in between the animal and human stripes. Small stains
