Object Description
Length of cloth; vibrant yellow ground; no warplines; 1 float line near edge, olive color; 15 single-sided free-standing motives, brocade (birds, tri-peds, humans), in red, blue, green, pink, purple, gray, white; 5 rows of motives running: birds, quadrupeds, humans, quadrupeds, birds; birds could be roosters or chickens; tri-peds could be crickets or other insect; humans are stylized with arms disproportionately long; skirts very wide and triangular with diamond-shaped decoration; legs truncated and stumpy, and neck very, very long. The material is worn with stains near top, running along the weft line; the purple color appears to have run; near weft line material is loosening and stretching so as to expose individual threads of the cloth.
