Object Description
Doll. Comprised of a large wooden dowel used as an interior armature from which traditional textiles are draped as clothing. The top of the dowel is head-shaped and painted. A long strand of yellow/red beads is wrapped/draped around the neck. The costume fabrics are primarily plain-weave cotton with red, yellow, orange, brown, green, black dyes used. The blouse is pieced with cotton and silk fabrics of red, yellow, orange, blue, black, brown. Under the blouse two sticks are pinned at the shoulders as arms.
