Object Description
Double bodied whistling jar; red, white and black on buff.
Inventory Description
Ceramic double-lobed vessel with flat base, lobes of vessel are spherical and connected at centers by rounded bridge, back lobe is topped by straight spout with flat rim, back of back lobe decorated with a horizontal geometric pattern in red, white, and black pigment, body of front lobe decorated with horizontal stripes and geometric pattern of red, white, and black pigment, human head and arm effigy on top of front lobe, arms hang down sides, arms are bent at elbows and painted black, effigy is wearing earplugs and a flat, triangular headdress with two triangular perforations, earplugs, nose, eyes, chin, and headdress of effigy are molded, mouth and fingers are incised, earplugs, headdress and eyes are painted white, cheeks painted red, chin and decoration on headdress painted in black, flat bridge connects back of effigy head to spout
