Object Description Written on board: "Utah, Grand Gulch. / Island Rock - Name given by C. H. Green during his explorations in 1891. The formation of sandstone rock stands in middle of cañon, 1500 ft. high. It has hundreds of cliffs and ledges which cover at least 700 houses - most of them in great ruins. / Photographed by C. H. Green, 1891."
