Transcribed Annotations Written on board: "Navajo Indians (Athapascan) / [Woman] spinning. Shows the last spinning operation after which the wool is coiled or made into a ball, from which it is taken and placed on the shuttle as needed. / Navajos preparing wool for blanket making. Taken by G. H. Pepper in N. Mex. 1897 & presented by B. F. B. Hyde and Frederick Hyde Jr."
